Lecheng operates under a special national policy that lets licensed institutions inside the zone use selected imported drugs, vaccines and medical devices that are approved overseas but not yet registered across the rest of mainland China. In practice this can mean earlier access to certain newer cancer therapies, specialist devices and treatments — under physician supervision and regulatory oversight.
