Jerry
Lead Medical Coordinator Β· Beijing Β· ~8 years
Jerry leads patient coordination at China MedPass from Beijing. Over roughly eight years he has helped international patients β from Canada, the UK, Australia, the US and beyond β navigate Beijing's Grade 3A hospitals for MRI/CT imaging, specialist consultations, second opinions, English reports and DICOM files.
What Jerry actually does
Day to day, that means the unglamorous, practical work that makes a hospital visit possible for someone who doesn't read Chinese: assessing whether China is even the right option for a case, matching the patient to the appropriate hospital and department, booking the appointment, standing beside them at registration and during the visit as a bilingual escort, and making sure they leave with a usable English report and their imaging files. He also tells people, plainly, when travelling isn't worth it.
What Jerry is β and isn't
Jerry is a coordinator, not a physician. He does not diagnose, treat, interpret scans, or make clinical decisions β those are made entirely by the licensed doctors and radiologists at the hospitals. China MedPass is an independent service and is not an official representative of any hospital unless explicitly stated. What Jerry offers is operational experience: knowing how the system really works on the ground, and being honest about its limits.
