China Hospitals for International Patients
Leading Grade 3A hospitals across China's major medical cities β and how to choose the right city for your case. China MedPass coordinates directly in Beijing, with pathways in other cities arranged case by case.
How Chinese hospitals are organized
China's public hospitals are graded on a three-tier scale; tier-3A (Grade 3A) is the top β large comprehensive teaching hospitals with senior specialists, advanced equipment and very high case volumes. International patients use them as self-pay visitors; a passport is enough to register. For the full system explainer, see the China hospital guide for foreigners.
Choosing the right city and hospital
Chinese hospitals are specialty-specific, not generalist, and reputation varies by field and by city. Rather than chase a single βtopβ hospital, match the city and hospital to your clinical question. Below is a city-by-city orientation; for the broader picture see the Medical Tourism China guide.
