Editorial Policy
How we research, write, source and review the information on this site β and how to tell us if something is wrong.
Last updated: June 2026
Who writes our content
Our guides, hospital pages and articles are written and edited by the China MedPass content team β people who work day to day on coordinating care in Beijing for international patients. We write from operational experience: what the hospitals actually require, how registration and payment work in practice, and what overseas patients and their home doctors typically need. We are an independent medical coordination service, not doctors, and our content reflects logistics and process β not clinical opinion.
How we source hospital and medical information
Information about hospitals β specialties, departments, equipment and senior staff β is drawn from public sources: official hospital websites, public hospital announcements, government and national medical-insurance price guidance, and reputable published reporting. Department and leadership references are provided for general orientation only and can change; hospitals reorganise and staff move. Where we cite a price range, it reflects published public-hospital fee guidance and observed private-pay rates at the time of writing, expressed as indicative ranges rather than quotes.
How we review content
Before publishing, content is checked for three things: factual sourcing (claims trace back to a public source or our own operational experience), compliance (no diagnosis, no treatment promises, no guaranteed outcomes), and clarity for a non-Chinese-speaking reader. Pricing, wait-time and process statements are written as typical or indicative, never as binding guarantees. Medical and pricing details are reviewed periodically and updated as guidance, fees or hospital arrangements change.
We do not provide medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. We do not diagnose, treat, prescribe or interpret scans. All clinical decisions β including imaging interpretation, diagnosis and treatment β are made independently by the licensed physicians and radiologists at the hospitals where care is delivered. Always consult a qualified, licensed doctor about your own situation, and never delay seeking care because of something you read here. See our medical disclaimer for the full statement.
Independence and how we are paid
China MedPass is independent of the hospitals. We are not an official representative, agent or partner of any hospital unless explicitly stated in writing. We charge a transparent coordination fee to the patient and receive no commission, referral fee or kickback from any hospital. Our hospital suggestions are based on which institution best fits a patient's clinical question, not on any financial relationship.
Updates and corrections
Healthcare information dates quickly. We update pages when prices, policies, wait times or hospital arrangements change, and we note a “last updated” date where relevant. If you spot something inaccurate or out of date β a changed fee, a department that has moved, a broken process β please tell us and we will review and correct it.
