Our coordinator sits beside the doctor and interprets live while you join by video; you get a written summary afterwards. It is often the right first step before deciding whether a trip is worthwhile.

Step by step

Send records and imaging
Send your records in their original language, plus the original imaging files (DICOM) — not screenshots or photos of reports. Please don't run them through an AI translator; we translate so terms and values stay exact.

We prepare a case summary for you to check
We write a Chinese case summary for the specialist and a list of the questions your family wants answered, and send both to you to confirm before anything is booked.

Payment
After you confirm, you pay the coordination fee plus the hospital registration fee, which is passed on at cost with the hospital's receipt.

Booking in the hospital's official system
We register in the patient's real name through the hospital's official system. Slots change in real time, so nothing is certain until registration succeeds.

Connection test
Before the day, we run a short test call with you so sound and video work.

The consultation
Our coordinator sits with the specialist at the hospital; you join by video link, and the coordinator interprets live in both directions.

Written summary
Afterwards you receive a written summary of the specialist's opinion and suggested next steps.

Time zones
Consultations happen in Beijing working hours. For Europe, an afternoon slot in Beijing falls in your morning — for example, 15:00 in Beijing is 09:00 in Budapest during summer time.
Ways to pay
Wise (local-currency transfer or card payment link), PayPal (about 4% in fees), or Alipay / WeChat Pay for RMB. Patients in Russia can send a transfer to a Chinese UnionPay debit card. Account details are sent only after your booking is confirmed.
Remote consultation FAQ
How much does a remote consultation cost?
The China MedPass coordination fee is USD 300 per consultation. The hospital's registration fee is added at cost, with the hospital receipt. We quote both before you pay.
Can I choose the specialist?
We show you which suitable specialists see patients on dates that work for you, and you choose. We cannot promise a particular doctor; the booking is confirmed when registration succeeds.
Is a remote consultation a final treatment plan?
Not always. It gives an initial opinion and recommended next steps. Some things — a physical examination, or tests such as standing surface EMG — can only be done in person.
Does the hospital provide an interpreter?
No. Public hospitals, including international departments, do not provide interpreters. Our coordinator interprets during the call.
My imaging is on a CD. What do I send?
Copy the DICOM files from the CD to a cloud drive and send us the link. Specialists generally will not review a case from screenshots alone.
Can I do a remote consultation first and decide about travelling later?
Yes, and for most complex cases we recommend it: you only travel when the specialist sees a clear reason to.
