Frequently Asked Questions
Why re-read scans that were already reported?
Discrepancy rates between initial and subspecialist reads are well documented, and treatment decisions inherit any error. A senior re-read (from $250) is cheap insurance before surgery, chemotherapy or a major diagnosis is accepted.
How do I send pathology slides to Beijing?
Most labs release stained slides or blocks on request; we provide the shipping protocol and receive them directly at the reviewing hospital. Digital slide scans are accepted where available.
Is China MedPass a hospital or a medical provider?
No. China MedPass is an independent medical coordination service. We are not a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider and we do not practise medicine. All imaging, diagnosis, and treatment are performed by licensed physicians at accredited Beijing hospitals; clinical decisions are theirs alone.
