Typical Cost
Specialist registration is passed on at cost — typically RMB 500–800 for a special-expert clinic (about USD 70–115); the international department is higher, around RMB 1,500–2,000. Our coordination fee is USD 200. We do not mark up hospital fees and we do not take commission from hospitals.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a Chinese doctor review my MRI online before I travel?
Yes — for most people it is the right first step. We prepare your records in Chinese, attend the hospital in person, and connect you in by video so you speak with the specialist directly. It tells you whether the trip is worth making at all.
Why do you attend in person instead of a pure video call?
Chinese public hospitals' own online services are mainly for follow-up visits by existing patients, not a first assessment of an overseas patient. Attending on your behalf, with you joining by video, is what makes a genuine specialist consultation possible without you flying first — and someone is physically there to hand over the images and capture the answers.
What can a remote review not do?
It can't replace a physical examination — some questions (is this knee stable, is this shoulder impinging) need hands. And it isn't a guarantee: if the specialist says the information isn't sufficient to decide, that's the honest answer, and we pass it on unchanged.
Is China MedPass a hospital or a medical provider?
No. China MedPass is an independent medical coordination service. We are not a hospital, clinic, or healthcare provider and we do not practise medicine. All imaging, diagnosis, and treatment are performed by licensed physicians at accredited Beijing hospitals; clinical decisions are theirs alone.
